There is another interesting fact we can learn about the eagle. It has excellent eyesight, with eyesight that is four times sharper than humans. An eagle can see a rabbit in a field from up to a mile away. God wants us to see things from his perspective. He sees the big picture and has perfect understanding. In Isaiah 40:28 it says, “Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired and weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”
As we spend time in God’s presence, waiting on him and learning to catch the wind of the Spirit, God will give us greater understanding. As we soar into the heavens we will see things more clearly and have the wisdom to deal with situations in our lives.
So let’s quieten our hearts and minds right now! Allow God to give you his strength in exchange for your weakness. Allow him to give you his power and courage in exchange for your discouragement and disappointment. This is his promise, as we have seen in Isaiah 40:29, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Now you will be able to soar like an eagle, you will run and not grow weary, walk and not faint! May God bless you today as you wait on him.
